audacious software package provides small and fast audio player which supports lots of formats, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install audacious
audacious is installed in your system.
Make ensure the audacious package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep audacious *
You will get with audacious package name, version, architecture and description in a table
